I know we should act like we have been here before(which we have), but how awesome is it we took down Maryland and Ohio State from the B1G, VT from ACC in WLAX? In consecutive weekends we swept NC State and UNCheat in softball? (Purdue games don’t count!) I love it and can only assume with the FBS move and new R2 designation we will be competing with and beating these schools in other sports too. (What R2 has to do with athletic competition and scheduling I have no idea)…

Maybe it’s just the afterglow of Sunbelt championship and going dancing, but I am feeling especially giddy today. Go Dukes!

The lacrosse national championship is an awesome accomplishment. I could be wrong but I believe that VT (along with a few other P5’s) have never won a single national championship in any sport. I have some VT friends that like to downplay the FCS championships but there’s no denying the Field Hockey or Lacrosse nattys.

If VT does ever earn a NCAA sanctioned championship, it will likely be thanks to a JMU alum named Kenny Brooks. Personally, I'd sort of like to see him do that elsewhere. If they are smart, they will hang onto him, and throw tons of money his way.

Yeah I'm with you on Kenny. I'm happy for him and hope he does pretty ok in the tourney, but getting VT their first NCAA championship is where I draw the line! Then I hope someone else scoops him up and he wins it all there.
