Soooo, does Louisiana currently have the best basketball, football, and baseball teams in the state??

LSU probably had them in football this year, but otherwise I'm not sure.
Football - no
Basketball - probably
Baseball - doubtful but pretty damn close.

I'm not an LSU fan, but I think this year if LSU doesn't win the national championship it will have been a disappointment. They had a good team coming back and added the #1 recruiting class and the #1 transfer class including Tommy White who hit 0.357 with 27 HRs at NC State as a freshman last year.

Congrats, Ragin’ Cajuns. Do us proud in the Dance.

P.S. So is somebody gonna cover up the last 2 words on that nameplate with a Sharpie tonight or is the plan to just get a new one put on after you get home?

When South sho 62% in the first half and only led by four at the break, I felt ok about the Cajuns' chances. South led at half in all three games.

USA didn't score a field goal in the last six minutes of the game.

Cajuns probably a 14 seed, with an outside chance at a 13. South would have been a 15 at best.

You’re probably correct, but either way the Cajuns will be a dangerous 13 or 14.

Go Cajuns! And Go SBC! Make some noise in the Big Dance!

Congratulations, Louisiana. Here’s hoping that both you and Southern Miss represent well in the NCAAs and NIT. Two solid teams,!

I agree ... there's a good chance I'm going to take ewe-la-la and the points in their 1st round game...

Tennessee didn't win it last year and they looked by far to be the best team in the country. Baseball is a weird sport compared to the others.

Egad. Mistakes happen, however, I take it as evidence the SBC still has lots of PR work to do. It’ll happen, as well as that second or third bid.

Congrats Cajuns on a really good season and the Sun Belt Tourney Championship. Now, more importantly, go advance to the Sweet 16.

Also congrats to the Jags on a strong finish to the season. USA was definitely one of the top Sun Belt teams at the end of the season.

Yep, it's time to get someone into the Sweet 16, JMU MBB has been to the round of 32 (3) times and JMU WBB has been to round of 32 (6) times and Sweet 16 (4) times. Not sure about how many times other current SBC members have been to the round of 32 but GSU has been at least once and I think a few other previous members may have been to the round of 32 a couple of times. Catch a 3-4 seed on an off night makes getting to the 32 feasible, then cash in some house chips to get to the 16.

ODU has also done very well in the past, at least on the WBB side. Don't care to research it further, but I'm sure they can provide details.

Cajuns last made the round of 32 in ‘92 I believe. Probably a few other times in our heyday of the ‘70s-‘80s.

Of course not. That is the name of the university.

That’s an athletic trophy, though, not a diploma.
