Most everyone has knows that Time Magazine captures the pulse of the times with their iconic magazine covers.

And most everyone has seen this April 8, 1966 cover before. It's the first cover to have just text and not include a picture. Its message was ominous for the nation and our culture.




On June 21, 1971, Time published the following cover.

Jesus Revolution is in theaters now. It's a great movie and was actually really eye-opening. I had just turned 1 when the '66 cover came out so I had no idea what was going on during that time. Years later I heard about hippies from pop culture, but had no idea just how involved hippies were in what has been called America's Fourth Great Awakening.
