The end of half execution this team consistently fails to show is a pretty bad look for Byington. Never any semblance of an idea or purpose. Just let one dude dribble and try to play one on four, take a bad shot, or just scramble all together. Could probably say the same for the entire offense.

S Alab is good. The bashing is over the top. Not saying this is one of the best JMU teams ever...but at this point your record is your record. And we are in this game against a talented S Alab team.

Vegas doesn't care about who you are rooting for or against. And Vegas has Southern Miss w the best odds to win the tourney and us the second best at the start of the tourney (if I'm not mistaken). The "we are horrible" is a bit much

The so called top ref who "tells it how it is" is and absolute coward. He knew it was a blocking foul and then realized it would have been the guys third and called a chaege so he wouldnt gave to answer to it. I can handle missed calls. I cant handle refs intentionally affecting the game.

We have shot 5-30 from 3 point land against them this year. Hoping that law of averages thing comes into play.

Anyone else think the color commentary guy sounds like Dick Tarrant?

Yes, that was a bad call.

I don’t think I’m being dramatic or reactionary in saying the team doesnt execute well at end of half situations. It’s happened consistently all year.

Still a great chance at winning this, fouls situation could really helps us down the stretch. Really need to get some good catch and shoot looks for our guys, way too many threes off the dribble.

Really need others like Morse and Wooden to hit a shot or two and get some confidence… defense has to be better too. [/u]

Hated to see White and Jones get those wide open 3 looks at the end of the half. I hate to keep bashing Ihenacho...but he's the one I saw way too late trying to close out. Huge momentum change. And the foul on Wooden was a complete joke. Terrible call.

That was about as bad as the first half could go and JMU is only down 7. Frustrating that they were unable to take advantage of 2 South Alabama starter in foul trouble and in the bench. Arguably they’re 2 best players too.

Where is the poise? Lots of bad decisions and panicked decisions on offense.
The defense was getting carved up for a while and finally Byington went to the press with 5 minutes left. What is he waiting for ? Dukes have a huge advantage on depth and fresh legs with USA playing their 3rd game in 4 days.

USA turned it over 20 times against JMU the first time. Only 3 Turnovers so far. Big difference.

Can the Dukes be physically tough enough? Seems like they have been on the losing side of the physical plays too many times. Refs are calling it like tourney basketball. No surprise. We need to see the players come out with their hair on fire. Who cares if they get some fouls for being too physical. You have to toe the line and find out what is the refs limit for physicality. They won’t call all the fouls that’s for sure
