Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't have to register a firearm with the state of Florida, right? But if this bill sees the governor's desk, you will need to register if you're a paid blogger who makes a comment about an elected state official.

You're squirming because all of the paid leftist bullshitters will have to register.

Ordinary people can say what they want.

But if you are getting paid to do it, I see no problem with having to register.

What does one of those even remotely have to do with the other? Man, you are out there sometimes.

Why people on this board still try to interact with him is beyond me.

For kicks and giggles, primarily.

You've replied directly to me multiple times in the last week. Why do you keep interacting with me?

Put up or shut up, stop replying to me. And just so you know they don't have computers in the 50's, don't be a quitter. Throw that phone away.

Despite it being a classic conflation argument....I tend to agree that this is nothing but a money grab to allow a constitutionally allowed freedom.

One of the big problems in our society is people paying bloggers (JMO of course). Why TF would I spend my hard earned money to listen to some idiot blogger?

Anyone in FLorida who wants to write about politics is allowed to do so.

Anyone in FLorida who wants to carry a gun can do so.

IF YOU ARE PAID to write about politics, you must register.

IF YOU ARE PAID to carry a gun, you must register and get a license.

So, whats the difference again? Besides all of your Soros keyboard warriors about to get outted.

Why in the world should a state require *anyone* to register to write? About politics, or anything else for than matter? Whether paid or not?

I would hope the State of Florida (a supposed De Santis freedom state) might not take this extreme (even in a progressive state) item up.

I haven't read the details of this but on its face ,based on the OP, it seems highly idiotic.

They arent.

They are requiring you to register if you write and get paid for it.

I have the right to free speech. So, am I allowed to go speak/lobby freely to members of other governments without registering?

Please read.

Maybe think about the difference between 'to' and 'about'.

The public in general has a right to know *who* speaks to their lawmakers on behalf of an interest. Even more so when paid.

Who gives a **** what a guy at "RightWingServeUpTheGarbageSoTheIdiotsSlurpItUp.com" writes *about*, and *to* his readers?

Very different function between the two, very different ends.

Whether paid or not.

As I said, I hope this is a comic book level outlier, a d I'll give it a chance at being just that. But please keep trying on defending it.

Coming from the idiot that says 'because its paid' when I already mentioned it, and you decided to edit that portion out --- thats rich.

"Getting my ass handed" when you dont have the stones or the honesty to see or comprehend that I already addressed your half-assed comment in my original? Got it.

Want to try and take a crack at a real answer?

Or just shuffle of with an evasion like you just did.... Lolz.

Considering a blogger even if they are paid a lobbyist is fuck1ng stupid. This bill will never pass and even it does it will struck down faster than I can kill a chicken wing flat.

Someone said it above. If we start a thread for every dumba$$ anti-constitutional law some state lawmaker proposes we are going to give Crimson a run for his money on thread counts.
