I'm sure my Los Angeles residents go to Las Vegas to gamble often. Wonder if this could be a way the Pac-12 could reclaim part of LA???

What I've never really understood is how the scope of athletics within a "University System" is done.

Isn't it in the University of California system's best interest to say... "let's allocate funding to UC Irvine for the purpose of transforming them from a Big West athletic department into a Pac-12 athletic department" ?

How close are the 2 cities? The proximity to NYC from Rutgers is the reason Rutgers got the B1G invite.

I think if UNLV took athletics a bit more seriously they could be Pac material. Lots of people still associate them with those dominant Jerry Tarkanian teams in the early 90s.

3.5 hours on a Saturday morning with no stops. Doable.. on a Friday night though likely 6 hours.

Wouldn't San Diego be a lot closer to Los Angeles than Las Vegas?
