Anyone know the future for Crump, Hunter, and Thornton? Are they all leaving or anyone coming back with their Covid year?

This game makes me appreciate what we have with our men's basketball team- we have a TEAM of individuals that play for each other thru good & bad. Not once have I seen anything less than a 100% effort from this team or an ugly glance between teammates. Not easy this year, because they have had some really frustrating games this year. Been saying all year this team is really easy to root for and worthy of our support. Just outstanding!

Pretty sure we will find this out when they introduce seniors with parents at end of game.

NIU will be 7th seed and face Kent St. Huskies won by 10 in the only meeting between the two teams.

Should be game three about 3pm to 4pm eastern on ESPN+ on Thursday.

I won't "complain," but nothing wrong with pointing out what looks like a bad decision. And I have given a TON of good ideas on ways to increase attendance over the years and have been ignored. So, I don't owe anyone to hiold back on mere question or observations.

Funny, I just had a conversation this morning with someone about marketing, and she was saying how in marketing you have to market to the customer you have, not to the "ideal customer" or the one you wish you had. I about keeled over. I told her I needed to get her a job in the NIU A. Dept. That's been the whole issue for years (since J. Phillips left, maybe). STF wants fans to be like Alabama, Wisconsin, ND. But that's not who we are. Ignore and alienate game day walk-up fans and they will find other things to do. And here we are.

Love me a good Sid Simmons reference. Had classes with his daughter, Shannon, back in the day!

Blast from the past. Hadn't thought of that name in years.

She lived in my complex at grey townhouses. We had a lot of mutual friends, would see her at parties. Chill, super cool girl. Really cute. I didn't know Sid was her dad til years later.

Yup. Good start...weathered a little run in the middle and then finished strong at the end of the half.

Bates looks like he'd rather be anywhere but where he is right now. Arguing with a fan in the first row, completely dejected and unfocused.

EMU in general looks disinterested but for a couple of guys.

We gotta step on them to open the 2nd and a big part of that is for Coit (2 points) to get going. If you allow a team like this to hang around, often they will eventually take advantage of it.

I was wrong. EMU did not come to play. They lacked the intensity needed to win this game - surprising for a game they needed to get into the MAC tourny.
A good fun game for NIU.

Hope Drew took a photo of the scoreboard at the end of the game. He was the point leader among the 5 NIU players listed.
