Marshall beat Coastal so the Dukes will face the Herd on Friday

ODU beating Ga St in the fourth. Was a 15 pt lead but Ga St nibbling away at it. Could get interesting
Winner of this game plays Troy on Friday

ODU wound up beating Ga St so they face Troy on Friday

Ga So and Ar St have just tipped off.

Looking at the top 5 or 6 teams in this tournament it seems like any of them could win the whole shebang. Should be very interesting games in the quarters on up.

Go Dukes!!

Ark St did it on the men's side too. Maybe they've got a lucky streak going.

Does Coastal win the unofficial “Keener Award” for both their men and women getting bounced in the first round? 02-13-banana

Even though the Keener Award was a distinct JMU-CAA “thing” it sure feels good not to be a bottom feeder this year.

So because JMU is the regular season champ in the SBC, we're guaranteed at least an NIT bid, right?

That was a seriously amazing game! Props to Izzy Higginbottom for her work in practically singlehandedly winning it for Arky State.

Pretty sure that's the case. But right now Charlie Creme (ugh) has us winning and matched up against Dook as a 14 seed in the Big Dance. Ptui.

Don't count your Herd before it is culled. They did a nasty on us last time.

Is the SBC WBB really that far less than the CAA WBB?

The NET rankings have been pretty rough all year.

RE: WBB SBC Tourney Games
Drexel is also pegged as a 14 seed so I don’t think there is a ton of difference between CAA and SBC WBB. I will say there is a lot more quality teams than the CAA. We’re used to us, Drexel, Towson, and sometimes Delaware before a huge drop off. SBC has a few more teams that make for exciting games IMO.

Hoping Sean and Kiki can get a ring this weekend - Go Dukes

How are we feeling about the game today? Will we see gritty Dukes or glacial Dukes? This game seems like a complete coin flip to me.

RE: WBB SBC Tourney Games
Think any of the upcoming games between any of the remaining teams will be a coin flip. Going to be interesting to see who comes out on top as any of the teams could win me thinks.

Much better level of competition overall for all the teams in the Sunbelt when compared to the CAA. All the conference games this season were hard fought games.

Go Dukes!!

RE: WBB SBC Tourney Games
Heading to breakfast in a few and then over to arena for the game.

Hoping for a strong effort for the dukes.

Based on shooting so far in the arena I would be telling both men’s and women’s teams to take it to the hoop as the rims are extremely tight and the outside shooting overall has been dismal.
