UC should open a new revenue stream of letting public buy in for high $$ training. Lol
I know you are speaking in jest, but I actually think you are into something- there’d be some guys and gals who would pay some decent change for a Bearcat Bootcamp and meal table. Heck, I know guys who pay $200/mo for cross-fit; they’d might as well give it to Cincy Reigns.

RaQuan Adkins, one of the Louisville flips this cycle EE'ed and apparently put on 20lbs since he started and increased all of his lifts by 30%+. I wish I know the weird science that goes on in College weight rooms nowadays.

Would love to see that comparison from his freshman pic to March '23. Keep it up big guy

Part of that is that these are young men who have not stopped growing yet.
Adkins just enrolled in UC this year, right? That means he's the same age as a high school senior; there's a 50/50 chance he's still 17 years old.
I added 30 pounds of muscle in two years after I turned 18. And that was without any organized program. Pete Rose was an even later bloomer than me - he gained like 40 pounds of muscle in the minor leagues between ages 19 and 22.

I really am starting to gain more and more respect for Kiner. He could be the 1 or 2 RB at LSU on a top 10 team but has fully embraced UC even after the coaching change.
He’s ready to battle with Myles Montgomery, Ethan Wright, and Ryan Montgomery for snaps and from his talk they are all working together to improve each other. Early word is Myles fits system the best and it will likely be an RB by committee with so much talent but I could see both Myles and Corey pulling away for most of the snaps.

From my buddy's who played college football and had to pack on weight it sounds unberable, especially in those Dline/Oline positions where they try to keep it somewhat healthy. I had one friend who would dissappear in the middle of the day when we were hanging out to go drink what can only be described as a 1,000 calories of protein concentrate.
It's always been suprirsing to me how far behind so many programs are in supplying the diet and culinary demands of a full time athlete. I know a lot of college kids get away with packing on dirty gains with whatever food they can find, but you should realistically have access to as much lean food as you could desire to make that road easier. I think UC has it included in their day 1 camapaign but I'm not sure what the details are.
I had a roommate who was a UC offensive lineman back in the late 80's. They told him to add weight. So for supper he emptied a bag of taco chips on a huge plate, browned a pound of hamburger into taco meat and poured it on top, then emptied a bag of shredded cheddar cheese on top of that.
He gained the weight, but I don't think he put on a bit of muscle.

Yup, I feel good about the talent level but I'm not sure about how some of the pieces will fit into the more aggressive scheme change. I think we could see a lot of position shuffling.
Deshaun Pace might move to a Nickel/Hybrid role and Jah-Mal Williams could get moved to OLB/EDGE hybrid. I think this year Thomas finally breaks out and I'm curious to see how Lousiville transfer Dorian Jones looks as well.
A lot of talent but I'm curious to see how it all comes together.

Coach Satterfield has said they are going to be active in the the transfer portal after spring training, specifically at WR and OT. I think we legitimately need 3-4 more WRs and 2-3 OTs. Most WR rooms have 9-12 guys, I think we are down to 5.

I'd actually swap LB and QB. Feels like there's a decent amount of returners and newcomers to add depth there but with QB, it's anyone's guess as to how any of them will mesh with the new offense and who among Ben, Lichtenberg, Jones, and Prater will be that guy.

Hopefully, we can get a quality starter at LT in the portal. We have no proven tackles on the roster. Jones, Williams, and Greene (raw but talented) are probably decent but I don't know if I trust any of them to be high-end starters. Don't expect too much from Wilder.
I feel at least decent about our interior OL talent and depth. Kandra and Gerhardt are definitely capable starters and we have good depth with Tinsley, Glynn, and Williams capable of sliding down. Radosevich should be alright at center and we'll see what Fickell brings to the table as a depth piece.

Is he going to be sending us his castaways from Wisky?
Everyone appears to be from moderately to majorly concerned about the OL. Given that, I will be very interested to see how the OC schemes around that knowing that the B12 has been a very high scoring league the last few years and I don't see many Ws with the Bearcats scoring under 30
