CCU wins a naty in baseball and ekes in to the top 20 conversation for a couple years with a nice run but Chadwell is gone now. Napier had UL riding high but he's now solidly in the millionaires club.

I can speak for the lot of us and say we're tickled JMU is giving to the conference on the field but we're underwhelmed with the attitudes that linger from their time in FCS and slightly concerned that this may not subside anytime soon.

You folks need to rein this world beater attitude in a little.

I believe that Baseball NC at Coastal was from the season before they joined the SB?

That is correct. Coastal baseball has also won 2 of the last 4 SBC baseball tournaments.

I wasn't trying to take away from your school's accomplishments, just saying the SB can't claim your NC. Hopefully one of us brings one home to the SB soon :)

They won the NC about 4 hours before they were officially in the SBC. By the time they landed back in South Carolina, they were.

We sort of claim it. 03-lmfao

Haha sounds good to me! Plus I mean we're talking overall strength of the athletics programs. Coastal sure as hell can claim it in that conversation just like Marshall can claim their 2021 soccer national championship, JMU our 2018 lacrosse national championship, and on and on.

That should move us back into the top 10. Our only loss is to #1 UNC. We got a team capable of winning another national title (last was in 2018)

But how's your rowing program looking this year?

Bad. The beaver dam and abandoned moonshine still that created Newman Lake washed out.

Just another reason not to abandon a moonshine still.

Them revenuers shot it full of holes.

We’ve been good in all the sports we’re good in now for a while. Except men’s basketball…I can’t predict how good any of us will be in the future, and neither can you. And is JMU a conference member or not? We’re a member. We’re the best. Fight me!
Nah, you're just all full of yourselves.

Read the title of the OP. It doesn't say right now (no timeframe is specified) and just because you think you are, doesn't make it true.

TXST has been good, all around, for a decade but I wouldn't thump my chest in any given year; even when we won more than our fair share of the championships (and with a sucky football program). You folks want to claim superiority because you have an overblown sense of entitlement. I see it on Facebook and Twitter, all of the time. Not a humble, or thankful, bone in your bodies.

Seriously. Someone from Texas lecturing about hubris?
Live in, not from.

Not to mention nobody's proud to be from Corpus...

Well, we weren't in Austin proper. Outside the City Limits in Williamson County. Just had an Austin zip code. Got absorbed in 2012 and "taxed out" of our house.

OK. I'll cut you some slack then...

If I'm being honest I've actually lived in Austin proper, as most TXST grads probably have at some point. Though my stint lasted just around 17 months or so. Austin used to not be so bad, even back then (2011-2012), but man have I grown to hate that city. Mostly cause I have to drive through it to get to San Marcos and the pompous attitude of its residents.

I loved my house. We lived on 3/4 acre at the end of a cul de sac with no one to our left, and had a pool. It was quiet and no crowds or traffic. Tripling our taxes made the move necessary since my husband was retired and I was working in a pharmacy. The house we sold in 2014 has now almost tripled in price/value. Can't imagine the taxes now.
We live in a quiet part of south Corpus, with a 20 minute drive to the beach. I miss my backyard pool but, having grown up with a 45 minute drive to the beach, I'll take it.
I do, however, miss the 45 minute drive to San Mo.

I agree Austin has gone downhill...a lot!

I don't mind JMU being the winner of conference if it happens. They deserve it with having a good season. If Texas State wins it though the conference is in trouble.

JMU does have the highest remaining NET in both. Grab your purple t-shirts and your Proud and True Dukes Lager and cheers accordingly 04-cheers03-lol
