I’m more worried about the chaos of breaking 14 or so new starters along with entirely new offensive and defensive schemes on the road against Georgia Southern and an always tough Louisiana team in week three. That’s just me though, I’m a worrier.

Not just you. I’ve been wondering how much we can actually learn about this team/staff at all this Spring. Hard to really know the context of guys who show out.

I find comfort in the fact that from a pure talent perspective this is one of our better teams, just very raw. IF the mesh, which is a big if, I think we can see pretty good progression next season
As fans, we won't know anything until we see the team take the field against an actual opponent. The coach's have the job of evaluating players and making sure we know the systems. We are along for the ride. This year will definitely have its ups and downs. My hope and expectation is the team we see in game 12 is significantly better than the one we saw in game 1.

not sure about that ,,,if that are high school 1 a level at the first game ,,,even a 100 % improvement will not be great , winning is the # 1 order ,,,,that is it
What you can learn in the spring, from a coaching standpoint, is where you have holes in talent or depth that can potentially be addressed through the portal window May 1-15.
Also, you can pretty quickly identify where you need to improve over the summer or consider position changes for guys as well as make changes to recruiting priorities.
Fans, not so much you can learn from the limited stuff we get to see.
Overall I think this will be one of the more talented teams we have fielded but the lack of cohesion is a big IF for a while.
Trent Dilfer on RBs Jermaine Brown and Demetrius Battle: You have two pros in the backfield. Really talented young guys, who are learning how to become professionals. And you have one of the best running back coaches in America in Hindley Brigham. That room is a special room.
I’ll feel a lot more comfortable after seeing the first game. Learned real quick that Dilfer can talk a great game…so much so that I don’t know, at this point, what to take away from his analysis.

He is probably spot on. The players are saying the same things he is, even the ones that have been in the program for several years.
