Really sleepy and frustrating first half, but the team really took over in the 4th quarter.

Kiki has developed a pattern of starting slow, then coming alive in the 2nd half. I don’t know if that’s because the opponents are fresher in the first, and are doing a better job of guarding her, or Kiki is deferring to her teammates trying to get them involved, or just by the time the late 3rd into the 4th Qtrs. roll around the other team is spent energy-wise and the can no longer contain Kiki. Perhaps it’s a bit of all three.

Great win tonight, and great regular season. Now, please Coach O, get this team to the NCAAT!

Dukes are the greatest. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. Zero doubt about it.

I wish that I could have bet we'd do better than a 6th place finish- that was money in the bank. First place is really nice though. Let's finish strong and have momentum into the conference tourney.

I felt like we would. I wasn't sure quite how well we'd finish, this being a new conference and all, but I figured we'd do better than 6th and those guys just arbitrarily stuck us there because a) they didn't know us, and b) we came out of the Colonial (booo!). Guess who is now sitting there with egg on their faces?

I switched over to the Troy-Southern Miss game after watching our women win, and it was interesting. Troy looked kind of lifeless, like they just didn't have much left in them, while Southern Miss was LIT UP! That Southern Miss coach though...she is one SCARY woman!

So does this still guarantee at least an WNIT spot? (Are the NIT/WNIT still doing that for regular season champs?)

I believe so yes

Have to think that the preseason pick of 6th place was based very heavily on the terrible off season the Dukes had last year. We all knew they were better than that and this season proved it

Will state that as of now any of the top five teams in the conference can with the championship. Going to be an interesting and hard fought tournament with a few surprises me thinks.

I agree. Hopefully the double bye helps JMU and doesn’t jink the team. This is the year for Coach O to get the “no NCAATs” monkey off his back.
