Daytona Firsts
Congrats to Tad Geschickter's JTG Daugherty Racing Team.
With their win in the Daytona 500, Tad's wife Jodi becomes the first female car owner to win the 500, Brad Daughtry becomes the first Black car owner to win the 500 and Tad (Class of '84) becomes the first W&M alum (and first W&M Baseballer) to win the Daytona 500.

Congrats to all. It is the team's first win since 2014. Tad is such a good guy, it is well deserved.

They are the owner for Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who was 26th last season, which is way worse than average. He had no top fives and one top ten (in 2014) in eleven Daytona 500s before winning this one. That includes before he drove for JTG.

He did win the 2017 summer races at Daytona and Talladega (both before joining JTG), so he does know how to miss "The Big One".
