It's probably not a stretch to suggest that the past 18 months our University of Cincinnati has received more national exposure than ever before. GameDay and ascending to the CFP were good for starters. Record enrollment this past fall, and soaring applications to enroll were both major stories regionally this past autumn too.

Now add in the lifesaving care that Damar Hamlin received at UC Medical Center and last night's recognition of that on a worldwide telecast along with the "Kelce Brothers' Super Bowl" feature stories the past two weeks. What an amazing run and exposure such as this is something X, Miami, NKU, and others in our region couldn't begin to buy or match (nor could a handful of B10 or SEC schools regionally).

As Bearcat fans we tend to soak it all in moment-to-moment but the rest of the country has had a large dose of all things UC this past year. That momentum will only continue to build with the enhanced exposure of Big 12 membership. 2023 is a great time to be a Bearcat.

There was an article a week or so ago that indicated applications for this fall are up over 22% from last year. I had a discussion recently with someone in admissions who told me the BXII invite has been a "game changer" (his words) in terms of having applications for enrollment come from places we normally do not receive any applications from.

Saw a guy with a UC hat on the field with Damar Hamlin at the Superbowl last night. Probably one of the medical staff. Last couple of years have truly been the glory years for all things Cincinnati football (both college and pro)
