I didn’t know this, but Heiar is now head coach at New Mexico State University. He was one of Shay’s top assistants here in 2020.

Things are apparently not good at NMSU, as he was just placed on paid leave and the basketball program was suspended indefinitely.

I wonder what he did here while with Shay?? That sounds like a mess, and it certainly sounds like he had to be doing something pretty shady - he loaded the team on the bus after one of his players were shot and left town?? That sounds a little suspicious!

His last 3 jobs in D1 were dumpster fires. LSU with Wade, the kneeling fiasco here and the disaster at NMSU. He brought the bad juju everywhere he went.
