Not that I can imagine SDSU saying no to the PAC unless they got a better offer somewhere.

But I would imagine adding Fresno State as a rival, helps.

Though I still think adding those 2, plus the 2 AZ schools, to the B12, is the better move for those schools.

Are there non P5 schools valuable enough for Pac to grab?

If the Pac can take another school in the CTZ, would Memphis work?

RE: Canzano: Pac-12 expansion ramps up
PAC 14 and Big 14 alliance ? Aka Big 28

PAC adds SMU, Rice, BYU, SD state

Big 12 adds Memphis, Tulane, USF

If no alliance, I like the pac adding SD state, SMU, Rice and UNLV assuming they won’t go for or get BYU. Than the big 12 adding USF and Memphis. The American would take a hit but can reload with Texas state, Western Kentucky, Middle Tennessee and Georgia state

Throwing Fresno State out there as a Big 12 candidate is interesting.

This is just embarrassing. This is turning the PAC into DavidSt's dream conference.

Boise State will never get invited to the PAC, and I think that their blue field is a highly underrated part of why they won't be invited. (On top of the more commonly mentioned reasons like academics, tv market, stadium size, and decline in recent football success.)

Memphis is Academically unacceptable even to a weakened Pac. If they get their Academics sorted out then they'll be in the P5 eventually though, my guess would be backfill ACC in 2036.

All of your other points make sense, but the field color?

The field color is hated by everybody who plays at Bronco Stadium.

There ended up being an NCAA rule change preventing anybody but Boise State (who was grandfathered in) from having a field in a color other than green. I've never heard of any other team whose field design was so hated that it caused an NCAA regulation to be passed.

If the PAC outer hull now stretches from downtown Seattle to downtown Dallas, many options exist for adding tonnage.

A number of schools have alternate color fields. Eastern Washington is red. Coastal Carolina is Teal. There's at least one other school, but I can't remember who.

I think the rule change was that you couldn't wear the same color as your field unless it was green.

Eastern Michigan has a gray field.

There have been plenty of interviews with opposing players who say it’s not an on-field issue. The issue is for some in-stadium fans and TV viewership.

Central Arkansas (FCS) is gray and purple stripes.

He is doing this to deflect. He is still carrying the PACs water. He wants to try to change the narrative that the Big 12 may expand with other candidates like Fresno, when it is inconceivable. All reports are that the Big 12 has their eyes on the 4Cs and their media deal only allows a pro rata increase for P5 programs.

You've never seen the inferno at Eastern Washington? 10 times worse.
