I don't think so. JMU MBB is not Superman.

I meant in general. They beat us in football, swept us in wball, women's soccer, and last night.

But I agree 100%, MBB is NOT Superman. They aren't even Clark Kent.
In terms of recent MBB history, they are better. But there's no doubt they still have a ways to go to be the program we want them to be (if they ever will be).

Maybe MBB = Jimmy Olsen

I like x brown, but he got worked by that guard, Finch? went right around him 3 straight times and dished for layups....

senior on freshman crime. x will get better. Byington quickly took him out.

we struggle to defend quick guards. but i guess, everyone does

Our men's basketball team is a collection of talented athletes, but they are still not a team, IMO. It often looks more like pick up ball. We can win games that way, but if we could play as a team, we would be so much better. We could be awesome with a solid post guy

In the pregame they said he was coming along well and doing more in practice. Stated he would probably set the road trip just to be safe and then bring him back for the homestand. That seemed to be the plan.

also, have to give Morse his due. He is not afraid to take the big shot and seems like he hits more than he misses when he takes those clutch shots near the end of the game. Ice in veins. Kudos...

Thanks Halz- good to hear!

This team is still a work in progress. If I recall, Byington's goal was to improv the length at Guard position. He didn't mention much (if anything) about improving the post.
The problem is with Sule out we are lacking in the post. I do think this team has different results if Sule wasn't injured. At the same time, there was too much relying on a single guy to get the job done.
I would say focusing on the post should be a huge focus this offseason.

Might be a little to far along in the season to be a WIP.

Could you imagine this squad with Dwight Wilson III down low? He’s done quite well at Ohio since transferring, this year he’s at 15.9 points and 9.6 boards a game.

He would be a low post scoring threat, but he also would be a defensive liability in the post. He routinely gets lost on defense and has no recovery to get back in position.

If I had to choose, I would much rather have a post guy that is great on defense and struggles scoring than an offensive post player that is deficient at defense.
But right now, we just need any post player.
