Big one tonight. Tulane has basically been an ncaa tournament bubble type team since they got their best player healthy. They just swept Memphis.

They are an elite first shot offense. They get good looks, and score efficiently. They are also excellent at getting to the foul line. The only thing that prevents them from being an elite offense is they don't offensive rebound at all.

Defensively they like to extend the zone but also crash down on the post. They are going to dare you to reverse the ball and make open shots. But they are vulnerable on the glass.

Uc needs to dominate the boards on both ends and needs to do a reasonable job keeping them off the line (less that 15 free throws would be a win on the road). Do those things and they should be in position to win unless Tulane gets really hot (which they have guys that can) or we are ice cold.

Huge game! Go Bearcats let’s change this year’s tone of we can’t beat solid teams on the road.

Bolded, my thinking too. This really is an opportunity game to build upon lots of good work the past few weeks. If we see the effort and shooting we saw most of the game in Houston, UC cruises. If not, we saw what Tulane could do a year ago January @ Fifth Third and it was ugly.

Tulane is a 1.5 point favorite. ESPN has us as a 58.5% to 41.5% underdog.

That's pretty close to 50-50 on both fronts. Let's get this one!

Here is my expert pre-game analysis. If UC scores more baskets than Tulane. They will win. But if Tulane scores more baskets, they will win.

If we lose tonight, well, by golly... I'm gonna be mad.

That's not necessarily true. Much also depends on whether those baskets are free throws, two-pointers, or three-pointers.

It's the team with the most points at the end of the game that wins.
