I'm a huge soccer fan and I think 901FC should be 4th on the list right now for a new stadium.... I hope they dont leave town but if they do it will not be a big deal, losing the Grizzlies or not doing the LB so the Tigers have no chance at a Power conference is a lot worse than watching 901FC leave (I hope they don't leave but you gotta be real ... )

Maybe Stammers will finally be right and the Tigers will be 2nd on this list for facility improvements behind the Grizzlies

All that's left of the push back is you 3 clowns. Too dumb to get it through your thick skulls that saying that Rudd and the admin were told that we were in, was factual.

Just you three clowns left, and you are the most hilarious. Fire Penny and beg the NCAA for mercy. Your delicate feminine digestive system forcing you to stop watching us every January because we suck so bad. Predicting that we won't even make the NIT.

Quite the Nostradamus 04-drinky

Can you post that article again with the quote from Tubbys lawyer? You know the one you claim “made you correct” about Memphis getting in the b12 even though we didn’t. I love those mental gymnastics

I will repost it, if you are you confident that you will all of a sudden acquire the reading ability of an 8 year old.

This is you during a game that was in overtime...
Quote:No idea what call you’re even talking about because I cut it off about halfway thru 1st OT. Tiger hoops just gets less and less enjoyable every season. Been that way since Cal left.

This is you in early January...every year. Your delicate digestive system can't handle watching us. 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Quote:Only question now is the NIT a matchup at Fed Ex Forum or Rupp Arena?
Quote:We suck. But maybe we will win the NIT again
Quote:NIT level team again this year. Sad, but it what it is
(too 04-drinky to remember we made the tournament last year)

Fire Penny, the AD, the President and beg the NCAA to not ban us for 3 years. 04-drinky

What a clown.

No dumb***, the bottom line is we aren’t in the b12. You spent months blasting everyone who didn’t agree with what you “were hearing” only to look the fool you are when it didn’t happen.

RE: Bill sending $350,000,000
I related on this forum a direct conversation I had with Dr Rudd when he was in Atlanta at an alumni function in the middle of the B12 expansion consideration. I asked Dr Rudd what he thought of our chances of getting a B12 invitation. He indicated that he was confident the school had done all it could & that he hoped it was enough. In other subsequent conversations I had with other AD staff, I never heard or felt we were assured of an invitation, only that we'd done what we could.

Interestingly, at that same Atlanta function I also asked about getting the city onboard to support an OCS. DR Rudd shrugged & said the university had a "special" relationship with the city but never indicated the city would support an OCS with the state.

It doesn't matter that Smith and the lawyer said the university brass told them, that the BIG 12 told them that we were in .

What we want to see is where ANYONE in the university has publicly stated that the BIG 12 lied to them that we were in

Fact is IF the BIG 12 had told MEMPHIS brass that we were in ----they would have put a hard gag order on MEMPHIS brass not to tell a soul so it wouldn't leak

Fact if the BIG 12 had told the MEMPHIS brass not to tell anybody--then how STUPID it would have been to them to confide that info to a coach in the BIG 12 that we were trying to hire,

Fact is --it was COMMON KNOWLEDGE all over town that MEMPHIS was trying to hire Smith --to HELP GET IN THE BIG 12--NOT because we were already told we were in . If we were already told we were in then why hire Smith.

Fact the MEMPHIS brass was just speculating when they told Smith that we were in

Fact- it is 100% FALSE that Smith contacted MEMPHIS about our job opening --in spite of O-FER repeating over and over that Smith contacted the university first about the opening. The university contacted Smith first.

Fact- O-FER posted REPEATEDLY for MONTHS that we were #2 on everybodys list only behind Cincinnati

Fact-O-FER posted REPEATEDLY for MONTHS that NOBODY wanted Houston

Fact -true to O-FER' M.O.-(after being called out for being WRONG by posters on our beloved site) -he is now crawfishing and walking back all those MONTHS of posting

Fact--true to form his M.O.---he is NOW PROCLAIMING that all those months of posting his predictions ---- they NEVER REALLY was his beliefs or predictions --RATHER he was only QUOTING what the MEMPHIS brass was saying

Fact if O-FER is correct LOL---then one would have to believe that-- A) The BIG 12 told the MEMPHIS brass that we were #2 on everybody's list only behind Cincinnati--meaning the SEC/BIG 10/ACC etc EVERYBODY's list-- B) that the BIG 12 told the MEMPHIS brass that nobody wanted Houston

Fact--if we were in fact #2 on everybody's list ---then Houston getting in would have knocked either UCF/BYU off the list not MEMPHIS

Fact if O-FER is correct LOL---then all the MEMPHIS brass--you know (all those great contacts O-FER has now admitted was 100% WRONG---the great contacts that O-FER is now blaming for looking like an IDIOT on this board) . all those contacts were naively led down the garden path ----were spreading it all over town what the BIG 12 had told them most assuredly in private with a gag order

Fact-- the caliber of men that O-fer is now blaming for his months and months of INACCURATE posts -----doesn't seem to me the types of men --that -IF TOLD BY THE BIG 12 that we were #2 on everybody's list only behind CINN---and nobody wanted Houston-they don't seem like the type of men to go spreading that information around all over town------those type of men didn't get to were they are/were by having loose lips

Fact---those men were SPECULATING just like O-FER was----and just like I was when I posted the thread titled "THe reputation of a city".

Fact HOPE--maybe we will be/actually are #2 on everybody's list this next go round--hope so--maybe we are/will be

Question---getting in the BIG 12-Knowing that our football record will suffer greatly----and most likely our basketball record as well . We will have about the same chance as Mistake/OlePizz/Iowa State etc etc to get in the FB playoffs ----would we rather be in the AAC with a better chance to get in the playoffs playing crappy teams-----or probably never a chance to get to the playoffs and play real teams

Someday maybe ALL conference winners will automatically be included in the playoffs ---conversely maybe someday they change it that ONLY power 5 teams go to the playoffs thus eliminating the G5. At that point the G5 teams start their own playoffs--------power 5 playoffs --G5 playoffs

Knowing that our records will suffer greatly we have to get in a power 5 anyway --otherwise if they someday exclude g5 teams from the playoffs we will be the equivalent of division 2

However what if they start giving ALL CONFERENCE winners a spot in the playoffs ----would we rather be in a lesser conference like the AAC with a lot better chance of the playoffs--or the BIG12 with a much much lesser chance to go to the playoffs

I do think IF WE EVER get in a Power conference or if they start giving EVERY CONFERENCE WINNER an automatic spot in the playoffs ---that our recruiting will go through the roof --local and mid south players that normally go elsewhere will start staying home and playing for the MEMPHIS TIGERS

Bringing Memphis International Raceway back to life under the NHRA banner would pump millions into the local economy.

And it looks as if the NHRA could be losing at least one national event next year.

Priorities should be as follows.

SLBS
FedEx Forum
Memphis International Raceway
MSC
901FC

The ONLY thing dumber than using the funds for minor league soccer would be using the funds for car racing.

What part of the facility pumping close to $75 million a year into the local economy is beyond your ability to comprehend?

Your prejudice against non-stick and ball sports is showing.

Without the money from car racing being pumped into their economy for decades, the Carolinas wouldn't have NFL, NBA, and NHL teams today.

Many of the largest performance parts companies in the US are located in the Memphis area.

Edelbrock, Comp Cams, Lunati Cams, TCI, and FAST(fuel injection systems) are just some of the performance parts industry located in the Memphis area.

There are more Memphis area individuals inducted into National and International Motorsports Halls of Fame than any other type of Hall of Fame, including Music, Entertainment, or other sports.

Also interesting that the goofy Canadian mocks you for supporting Tubby and then turns around and uses a quote from his lawyer as his “proof that he was right on conf expansion”

Again, just backing up what myself and others have said. Again, if you are too dumb to not be able to understand that saying that we were told we were in, and actually being told that we were in is right. According to you, every other school is ahead of us, the football coach, the basketball coach, both programs, the admin; everything sucks, all the time. Look in the mirror.

Bonus points for mentioning support. The last three years, by the beginning of January, you stop watching us, say we suck, and say we will be lucky to be in the NIT again. You are a clown.

Nothing (obviously) can help you.

No, I said there was 4-5 maybe even 7 ahead of us. I was right that at least 4 were. Guess what, if the b12 could have a genie grant their wish, we’d still be no better than 5th on their list now behind the 4 corner schools. And yes, Ryan Stickerfield sucks as a coach.

That’s 2/2 for me.

Basketball? Yeah, I cut games off or don’t watch when we are lousy. I do the same during football season especially when there’s so many good games on tv every Saturday. Yes, I quit buying season tix to both because too expensive and I abhor going downtown. Tiger Lane is fun and sometimes we just go tailgating and then go back home. I’ve still been a Tiger fan longer than you, graduated from the school, and will always be bigger Tiger fan than your goofy Canadian ass ever will

Everything about the school, the program, the coaches, the admin, the conference sucks...and you stop watching basketball at the beginning of every January because your delicate digestive system can't handle it. You are only happy when you bet against us and win.

You are a great fan. Sure you are. 04-drinky

I'm sure certain people probably told him that we were in. I've heard it from people I trust. But then I've also heard the exact opposite from other people I trust, people who would know. It's not a battle of sources. We didn't get in and that's that. It's over.
It's crazy every thread on here about the Big-12 is three dudes fighting and throwing insults back and forth at each other.

Can you post that article again with the quote from Tubbys lawyer? You know the one you claim “made you correct” about Memphis getting in the b12 even though we didn’t. I love those mental gymnastics

Game. Set. Match.
