What kind of freak arrangement does this conference have for its tournament?
I realize it's not up to CUSA standards, but hopefully over time you guys will warm up to this concept.

Where's a curtain and the sparse crowds?

I mentioned this: Johnson won with Danny Kaspar's players. Those guys (except Harrell) are gone. Johnson's recruiting hasn't been good enough to overcome the loss of some really good talent.
Oh, and TxSt was eliminated in the quarterfinals last year. They didn't sniff the title game.
Returned who I personally think was our best player last year in Mason Harrell, but he's basically had to do everything himself this year without a reliable 2nd scorer.
Leading scorer from last year transferred to OK State. That hurt.
3rd best player last year graduated. That hurt.
I was initiallly really happy with our recruiting class but we lost the star of it to Mississippi State somehow after signing day. Guess we released him from his NLI for whatever reason. That hurt. Then we tried to replace him with a couple transfers from Florida. One hasn't played, or even been on the bench all season, no clue if he's even still with the program. The other one played in just 12 of our 33 games this year due to injury. So both have been massive flops so far and did little to nothing to help us this year.
Injuries have been a massive problem this year. Harrell (starting PG) has missed 3 games, starting SG (Dawson) has missed the last 19 games and I presume out for the year. Starting combo guard (Drinnon) missed 5 games but just got back in the lineup the final game of the reg season. Starting PF (Morgan) has missed 4 games. Our 2 primary centers (Martin and Ceaser) have combined to miss 15 games. One of the guys forced into action by the injuries (Coleman) got hurt 2nd to last game and has now missed the last 3. Already spoke about the Florida transfers but they've essentially both missed the entire season. We've been one of the most injury plagued teams in the country this year and never really have been able to utilize a consistent lineup or rotation all year. The only player on the entire roster who has played every game is a true freshman who's our lowest scoring scholarship player at 3.6 PPG.
Add that all up and it's been a rough season. Glad we're at least making a bit of noise in the tourney at least.
