NTR-Interesting perspective on B12 membership
Ok, it's probably click-bait, but I found the point of view of someone I don't care about anyway somewhat interesting when it comes to what it entails.

Those three schools will quickly discover it's no fun being a tadpole in a big pond.

They will all be tadpoles once Texas and Oklahoma leave.

I think they will be okay. Without the Texas and Oklahoma, the Big 12 is not much better than the AAC before the departures. TCU getting smacked up in the championship shows the gap in between the elite schools and the Big 12.

Are you forgetting that TCU took down the B10 champ 1 week earlier?
And the B10 runner-up took UGA down to the wire 1 week earlier?
UGA seems to have just been a terrible matchup for TCU.
Doesn't mean TCU was not any good in their own right.

I do think UCF will compete in fb and Houston will in bb as long as Sampson stays there.

I think Michigan wins that game 9/10 times but the playoff game happened to be the 1/10. The Big 12 still doesn't have a flagship school when Texas and Oklahoma leaves. Just a collection of good schools. I give credit to TCU though. They definitely out did themselves

Michigan could not stop TCU’s run game, so the win was no fluke. Michigan may have had the better team, though I certainly couldn’t tell by the performance on the field. TCU’s win was no fluke & I seriously doubt they’d lose 9 of 10 to the Wolverines.

There is a difference between building a team to play 1-2 P5 teams a year and playing 8-9.

Ohio St fan base of 11.2 million fans is almost as large as the entire Big XII combined 11.6 million fans.

When UT and OU announced they were leaving the Big XII lost 58% of their fan base.

Even with the addition of BYU, UC, UCF, and Houston the Big XII fan base is less than that of UT and OU.

UT still controls most of the Texas TV market.

When you add aTm to the mix then the SEC controls 90% of the Texas TV market.

Saw today that UT and OU negotiated out of their B12 contract and will be playing in the SEC in 2024. What's that - one year earlier? Just in time for the expanded CFP....

Yep, UT and Oklahoma had a combined record of 14-12 last season. It's not like they are unbeatable in football.
