This is great news! First and foremost, Gabe is knowledgeable in all things sports well beyond the box score, so there won’t be a drop of between seasons/sports. He also has a fantastic personality that comes through. And he’s a true blue Tiger and loves Memphis! As a former player, he will provide coverage like we’ve never had before on Tiger football.

Great job by 92.9! I encourage everyone to tune in!

He loves talking over his cohost or guest so he will fit right in at 92.9.

I like Gabe alright but his ascension in the local radio ranks seems a bit rushed. He’s pretty ok. At least we will finally get decent tiger football coverage on 92.9!

Aside from getting lost that time against Iowa State costing us a touchdown, I think he’s great.

Will he take calls or just call everyone stupid???

IMO, the Memphis market is ripe for a competent and entertaining sports centric sports talk show and the host will clean up in the ratings. It will be like being forced to consume gruel for years and then cake appearing on the menu.

Glad to have a Memphis Tiger football player on the radio. Hopefully they let him talk about Memphis Tiger football occasionally.

Obviously that user doesn’t either, Gabe is not very political on his show at all. He glosses by that stuff as it comes up.

Pat McAfee seems to be the new direction in sports coverage and he does NOT touch politics. There is hope.

Never listened to Gabe. HAS to be better! Love that a former player has some air time.
