The signing of QB transfer J.T. Shrout has been the best news so far.

While they did sign Christian Hunt (6-6, 222) a 3-Star freshman QB from California today-a player I had though was a PWO but seems to be a regular signee, the transfer I thought might be a "silent commit" , has gone the JC route.

In addition to Shrout some other previously announced transfer commits that signed today are: LB Gavin Potter (Kansas), OG Jalen Cunningham (Ole Miss), WR Corey Rucker (South Carolina), CB Donte Thompson (Incarnate Word) , and KR Many Stokes (Coastal Carolina). All these players are strong candidates to start, or at worse be the #2 at their position.

Added some quality HS players to the kicking game on special teams.

They have not added any help in the DL today , but are back extending offers.

When you consider their early signees it is pretty darn good day, especially coming off two very disappointing seasons, and they almost certainly made themselves better today.

Add to that it has all taken place in the most toxic environment I can remember, thanks in large part to a site I promised never to mention here again. That site specializes in laying the hate on all things A-State 24/7, but shifted most of their efforts to football going into this signing date. Will probably do the same when the Portal opens up again.

IMO Butch Jones is doing a great job under the circumstances, and really hope this class is the catalyst for enough wins for him to "bounce back", and hopefully take their new AD with him, too.

Great school , but would not wish their fanbase on my worse enemy.
