Nice little stretch here. Finally starting to get looks that it feels like we want rather than looks it feels like Akron wants us taking.

Since UTEP on 12/22 he’s 2-26.

Time to start putting the ball in the hole.

Free throw shooting is a big difference. Akron's not missing and we've left 3 at the line in the last few minutes (counting Jacobs missing the front end).

Two missed free throws in a row during clutch time. This team came out very stiff. I can't get over how we were not up for this game.

Freeman dropped his shoulder and banged the defender, then turned and leans in with the other shoulder, then end up calling a foul on the defender who got all ball.

The announcers have literally no idea about anything that's happening.

What has happened to Thomas. He can not shoot or pass. He started the season so good.

So they needed to announce another warning of an ejection and technical after they already did, yet no T called.

That’s a garbage foul.

At least this time they told them twice to stop throwing things.

Brick tossers! Hate to say I told you but…only 2-3 guys on this team shoild should be shooting threes (jumpers) and Jacobs, VCD and Carry are not any of them.

This female is annoying, she goes from fanboy to senseless little stories and back.

Listen, we weren't going to beat them 3x. Better getting this loss out of the way now. Santiago being done for the year is a killer tho.

Better team won. They've been the better team for a few weeks now. We don't make free throws when the game is on the line. We only have a few good shooters. Gio is one of them, so him being out really hurt. Our offense has been a real struggle. Thomas is completely lost. He's been lost since Payton started to come on. Could be a coincidence in the timing but to me it seems like he doesn't know where to be or what is role is. Coaching has to fix this. There is absolutely no excuse for a guy with 4 years of college experience, three of them in the MAC to be having his worse shooting season after coming to this team with the level of point guards he's playing with. He should be getting much better looks here than he was getting as one of the top guys at BSU. That's a strong indicator of bad overall offensive in my opinion. We're not putting him in places where he can be even as successful as he was at BSU. Coaching needs to fix this.

Akron's clearly the better team right now but I don't think they're the more talented team. If we can figure out how to make our offense easier on our top guys that can certainly change. Of course, I don't know how you fix clutch free throw shooting. It's painful to watch Carry go against Akron. We need to figure out ways to make his life easier. Nothing comes easy for him, and again to me he's too talented and we have too much talent around him for him to be having such a hard time getting good looks. I love Sendy, but this is a trend with his teams. Offense relies on talented players creating rather than a system getting talented players good looks. Coaching needs to fix this.

Lastly, it seemed like our guys didn't take the bait on all the BS tonight so I'm glad about that. Played in front of one of the trashiest fanbases who definitely lived up to their reputation. It was cute when they stormed the court after a conference win in early February though.

Done for the year? Have they already X Rayed it? He's one of only 3 players shooting over 30% from three. 30% isn't even good... So that's an absurd bar for almost our whole team to be under. If he's really done that's a massive loss.
