Yesterday they updated him and not only did he pass Blair has our top rated recruit in his class, but he passed Roback as our highest rated recruit ever! Did not see that coming.
Wonder what changed their rating?
Alex A. in his subscription work discusses him. Had a great rating BUT his recruitment didn't reflect it. Very strange. Something doesn't make sense. #16 in Pa yet only two FBS offers. And committed in December 2022.

Once again, we need to be careful about ratings, etc. etc. A rating of '87' isn't like scoring the 87th percentile on say a college board exam. Someone could rate him '97' and someone else '82.' Just don't know why ratings are what they are.
Here is another example of a 'head scratcher.' I went thru the list of MI h.s. preps (ranked 1 - 44 by 247 sports).
#14 Decommitted from MSU, passed up a ton of P5 and G5 schools and picked Howard. Interesting we signed his teammate but didn't offer him. Strange? David Goricki (Detnews) had him #25 in MI; Blair #28).
Sometimes things just don't seem what they appear. I have NO idea how this happened.

Howard is a cool as hell school.
Especially for males. When one speaks of 'minority population' at Howard, it is males.
Howard's big problem ATHLETICALLY is facilities.
Their gym is about 2,700. Quirky design but they often fill it up now that the team is playing very well.
Football stadium might pass for an average h.s. football stadium in Texas. The stadium can't really be expanded much because one side is bounded by a dorm and the other side bounded by a road which is bounded by a reservoir. Neither can be moved.
NO way to close off the road which carries north-south traffic thru the campus.
I doubt Howard can remove their track as Howard is a 'land locked' university, unlike say EMU which has land which can be redeployed. IF so, they could build a horse shoe with permanent seating in one (or even both end zones).
BTW, Howard has begun (2023) a 785M building project which will re-build all of its STEM, medical and eventually related facilities including a new hospital (the hospital is not part of the 785M).
