I don’t think I’ve heard of this before. Pretty sure that it would be one I wouldn’t forget hearing about.

Why he felt the need to share the details on social media, well, that’s beyond my comprehension.

I don’t know why the article tries to brace the reader like when your parents use to cover your eyes as a child during an adult scene in a movie. He says “balls”, not a big deal.

Was he taking a supplement that caused this?

In my defense, I've often been juvenile since I started posting a few years ago.

However, and on a serious note, I'm sure it is a very unpleasant injury and I do want to be respectful.

I think it’s hilarious that someone announced it to the media and conducts interviews regarding the specifics, in detail, unless they are doing it for the comic value and to laugh at themselves. No one can possibly be stupid enough to expect people not to laugh at them after all that.

If he doesn’t want us talking about it, I have an NIL contact for him to consider.

Interesting theory. He might have thought that announcing it — a move driven by his thinking the news would "leak" and people would start talking about it — shows a certain level of self awareness (the ability to laugh at himself, as you note) and helpfulness in getting "in front of the story" to control the narrative.

If so, that was a "ballsy" move (pun intended but delivered with full respect to the young man).

As a former TT sufferer, I sincerely sympathize/empathize with Brevin's agonizing ordeal. And, yes, his friends are making fun of him as they should be. If an "amputation" is involved...that's when the laughing should stop...but probably won't.
