What used to cause fistfights now causes shootings. Instead of two guys having a disagreement, settling it in the parking lot with a few punches then going back inside for a drink, young people shoot each other over a perceived slight on social media.

What those officers did looks personal. Part of the escalated violence between blacks. I would guess there is more to this incident then just a traffic stop

That's what it looks like to me also. Something happened prior to the stop that made them uber aggressive. They stated he was driving wrecklessly. Maybe he did something crazy that endangered lives? Maybe it truly was personal and stemmed from a previous encounter? Normally when you see cops drag someone out of a car its after a chase or stolen car..ect. This was not a normal traffic stop.

The really bizarre part to me is that their initial approach to the car violated rules designed to protect officer safety. So WTF was going on?

RE: More Police brutality. More cities burning.
The "normal" video of stops we see are from patrol officers and that wasn't the case on this one. For all we know this might be the norm (stop) for this unit and there aren't videos of those stops. So what looks like personal might be normal for what I assume is a unit that deals with harden side of crime and usually arresting/taking down when called in.

What ever it was I dont think its the first time they beat someone but it will be the last for many many years. Hopefully after doing their state time, the federal (they should be charged with) time will kick in. But most likely they gets federal time run concurrently with state. Or the other way around and do their time in the federal system. I would bet they plead out to charges so they can do most of their years in federal system

Not gang related even though there are elements of that within many forces across this country.

I don't believe that's the case at all because if it were some of it would be out by now from at least one cop trying to cut a deal. If that was the case every cop at the stop would be charged with murder or conspiracy even if the murder took place someone else. The white cop who was first to pull him out and used the Taser has not been charged
