Will be interesting to see if they stick with 3 hubs, or if they announce a 4th one. So far, Birmingham, Memphis, and Detroit. I’m guessing there will be a 4th one.
There is a press conference in Canton tomorrow.
Quote:The Pittsburgh Maulers of the USFL will look a lot more like a Pittsburgh team in 2023, and they’ll be a lot closer to home, but they still won’t be playing in Pittsburgh.
The Maulers were part of the USFL’s revival in 2022, but the league played all of its regular season games last spring in Birmingham, Alabama.
The team is expected to play the 2023 season in Canton, Ohio, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. A press conference announcing the move is scheduled for Wednesday.

There were a lot of locals that showed up for the USFL championship game. At one point, they showed a Michigan (Wolverines) fan on the Jumbotron & majority of the crowd booed.

So Pittsburg will be wearing traditional black and yellow....while playing their games in Ohio. Makes sense.

I think that’s probably better for the USFL. Canton, Ohio weather in July vs. Birmingham weather in July.

How is Canton in July, not as scorching as us?

About 600 miles north of here, so still hot, but not as brutal as here. Their average high is 8° cooler than here. I went to the championship game last year & it felt better than those June games at Protective.

For some reason, I was thinking he’d already stepped down. May have been me seeing the Panthers fans on Twitter wishing he’d step down.

Meanwhile, the XFL will be playing their games in the actual home cities.

The XFL was going to use the Hub and changed their minds. Hubs do save a tremendous amount of money over all. The three year mark is crucial. No , major professional outdoor football league has played a fourth year

I was in Canton a couple years ago in July and I don’t remember it being that hot. The HOF is pretty cool to see.

I’m not sure why Canton is a host city but doesn’t actually have a team?. ?.?.
Make a team the Canton Gold Jackets or something instead of calling them Pittsburg.

And yet somehow we are still waiting on the AAC schedule…
USFL starts in 2 months. CFB starts in August/September.
AAC released their schedule on 2/17 last year, so I suspect we may see that released next week. I suspect (in order) our home games may be NC A&T, Louisiana, Memphis, Temple, FAU, and USF. That was the order they were listed at 205 Day, and I’d heard previously that Memphis would be the 1st AAC game.

I know USFL is starting soon, I'm just getting impatient since almost all other conferences have released their schedules.
Stallions release their schedule today at 10am.
