I believe this is correct.

USFL season doesn’t start until the weekend after the NFL draft. If these players don’t get drafted or signed by an NFL team, then they revert to the USFL. It really is an ingenious way to get players from college this past season to be playing in the USFL this season without possibly cutting themselves out of the NFL.

The USFL contracts have an out clause for the NFL with a retention of rights should the NFL team cut the player before the USFL contract end date.

The XFL has a non-compete with USFL and I think USFL has a non-compete with XFL/CFL

Also, the USFL just did a new CBA that makes them higher paying than XFL by around $300 a week and they have a union

Skip Holtz was the Grand Marshall at this past St. Patrick's Day Parade this past weekend. The mascot and cheerleaders also appeared
