USFL starts in 2 months. CFB starts in August/September.

AAC released their schedule on 2/17 last year, so I suspect we may see that released next week. I suspect (in order) our home games may be NC A&T, Louisiana, Memphis, Temple, FAU, and USF. That was the order they were listed at 205 Day, and I’d heard previously that Memphis would be the 1st AAC game.

I know USFL is starting soon, I'm just getting impatient since almost all other conferences have released their schedules.

Stallions release their schedule today at 10am.

My guess is temple will be homecoming, and I am going to agree with the summation on the order of opponents.

Looking at the XFL rosters, looks like a lot of USFL QB's that make the final NFL cuts have moved to XFL.
Louis Perez, Kyle Sloter, Jordan Ta'Amu, and Paxton Lynch are now playing for the XFL. Other notable QBs on XFL rosters are AJ McCarron and D'Eriq King.

I don't believe there are any UAB players on XFL rosters, but we have plenty of UAB players in the USFL.
Both Mitchell and Watkins will be on the Stallions team - I'm sure Skip remembers WRs well.

It's interesting to note that the USFL changed their standard contracts after their initial signings and amended those remaing with the league this season. The contract now allows players an out clause to sign with an NFL team and no others. It futhers states that should said player not make the NFL team roster or travel squad, their football rights return the USFL for the duration stated in the contract. Meaning that current USFL players cannot play in the XFL, CFL or the returning Arena League until after the expiration date stipulated in their contract...unless waived by the league.

The Stallions are favored to repeat this season. BUT take it with a grain of salt, The Stallions had the longest pre-season odds last year and won it all.

Looks like Skip is trying to strengthen the OL.

The draft is only like 8 rounds isn't it? Feel like we should be going way deeper if it's just a rights draft. But I love this concept. Regionalized teams are dumb, let's turn this into a real thing.

10 rounds but yeah it's an interesting concept. The players are still in the NFL draft, but if they go undrafted OR don't make it to the practice squad then the USFL team that drafted them have the rights to have them on their team. Basically pretty good insurance for both the teams and players.

Starling Thomas V for the last round. But like others said, Telly, Shrop, and Starling may end up on an NFL squad.

If they aren't drafted in the NFL, do they risk injury in USFL to play and get film, or try and make team as undrafted FA?

For this draft, do these players play for USFL season that starts in a couple of weeks & if drafted by NFL, they free to go to NFL & USFL team retains their rights?

I can’t see Shrop making an NFL roster. He might be a practice squad guy in my mind.
