I hate those refs. Every single guy in college basketball carries the ball when they walk up the court and every so often, you run into a referee who decides its his mission in life to make himself the torch bearer on something that doesn't affect the game.

Is it technically a violation? Yes. Is it also done every single game by every single player making it an acceptable thing to do? Absolutely.

I thought Burno was going to fight that guy last night, he was so mad. Dude...this isn't about you.

Credit again to Burno and the fellas in not letting that petty ref get into their heads.

Carries? What are those?

I think there were actually three of those in this game---eclipsing that last twelve years total combined.

The ref actually called a carry on Coit (I think it was) crossing the half court line totally unguarded---he was literally walking up the court dribbling.

I guess I can get it when a player is starting to drive and gains an advantage trying to drive past someone---but with absolutely nobody within eight feet--I do not remember that called.

AND--a Kent State in bounder was actually called for putting his foot on/over the line throwing the ball in after an NIU made basket.

Anybody taking NIU?

No takers. I wasn't a taker either. That 17-0 run by Toledo was still too fresh in my mind (we lost by 17).

Every single time it looked as if Kent might pull away we hit a 3!
Statistically we matched almost perfectly. The exact same number of field goals except we had 5 more 3's. And 5 more free throws. Coit going 11-11 from the line was FANtastic.
The Convo would have been rocking with a few thousand fans. But the 837 of us (including Kent fans) saw a great game.

I took the Huskies at 12.5. We might be getting Ball State at the right time because they've lost two in a row.

Awesome win, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the ESPN notification on my phone of the final score.

Great job players and coaches!
