MBB golden Flashes at the Convo (wet or dry)
Kent State brings a 14-3 record with a NET rank of 35 against our Huskies at 6-11 and a rank of 283.

The Flashes are led by 3 redshirt seniors and a redshirt junior. They outscore opponents by 12.8 pts on average and only turn the ball over only 11 times per game.
As Huskie Dave stated in an earlier thread their only losses are to Houston, Gonzaga and College of Charleston. They were all on the road (typical of MAC teams) and all were close.

In eleven seasons at the helm Coach Senderoff has never had a losing season (rare for coaches who have coached ten or more seasons) (and rarer for someone coaching a MAC team playing power five teams on the road). Also, he has 7 twenty plus win seasons.

Oh, by the way, the game is at 7pm central on ESPN+.

Unlike college man, I don't like our chances.

GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As optimistic as I am with this squad....I'd probably have to take the Flashes if I were a betting man.

If we covered that line, it would indicate a close and competitive game and I am not certain that's realistic.

Why is he still at Kent State with his impressive record?

Maybe he likes it there.

I forgot there are coaches that find happiness without chasing million-dollar contracts.

I know not on subject of our game, BUT, Emoni Bates just scored TWENTY NINE CONSECUTIVE EMU points going into halftime. He has 29 of their 35 points.

Edit. They just said on the broadcast the college record is 54 consecutive points by some guy from Temple in the 1950s.

GREAT half by the Huskies. Not sure they can play any better than that, and still losing by three.

It does feel like we might not have another gear and Kent State still leading at half. Still, Kent State is shooting at a clip 65% this is likely not repeatable. Buckle in for an exciting 2nd half.

Ibarguen getting minutes over Durosinmi has made a big difference IMO. Ibar is playing some solid hoops and more athletic than Duro. Thorton at point is playing solid also.

7:57 to play. Down by 1.

It's been back and forth the past few minutes. Heck of a game.

Up 1 with 4:17 left. This is a big boy basketball game. Best I have seen NIU play in forever. Great plays all over the place by both teams. Refs ticky tacky calls on NIU might end up being the difference in this one. Ridiculous.

LFG Huskies- lets close this out!!!
