Did you see the Murray State & Southern Illinois fight? That's going to be a fun rivalry going forward. Those schools already hated each other and now they're both in the same league.

Yeah, I saw it. If it doesn't surpass Murray/Belmont, it'll be right up there! They recruit the same areas, thus enhancing the hate. Since they're both good right now, it helps the intensity and attendance!

I'm a big college basketball fan and my favorite conferences to watch are the Mountain West and Big East. I've been watching more of the American Conference this year as well, in anticipation of our move in July.

Because most MWC fans are on other sites not associated with CSNbbs. Both my main MWC board and Fresno board have no association with this site.

RE: What is your favorite conference?
I voted both SEC and Big 12.

I've always loved the SEC, especially in football. I look forward to my school being in it, though it will be hard to get used to.

I'm partial to the old Big 8 that I grew up with, especially during basketball season. Big 8 football was kinda boring, since OU and Nebraska dominated everyone. But Big 8 basketball was heated and entertaining.

And I gave the Big 12 a vote. Big 12 1.0 was a perfect conference for me, but it was short-lived and doomed to fail. I'm glad to be moving to the SEC, but I will miss the Big 12. And Big 12 basketball is just a killer. There are no easy games in Big 12 hoops.

Outside the FBS, The Ivy League is respected for academics, durability, and it’s regional connections.

They have kept their athletics in proper perspective given their collective identity.
