UNM had their kickoff banquet for their baseball team ($1500 for a table for 8, with two UNM players). They had probably just traveled back to campus, were introduced to the fans at half-time and were waiting to use the locker room to switch back into street clothes.

I doubt they were carrying bats.

Crimson Phantom has probably created about 20,000 threads in the past 10 years. I think the UNM connection is just a coincidence.

UNM apologized but after what happened with NMSU you would think they'd be even more cautious. IMO the MWC should punish them to prevent further escalation (not sure what exactly though).

For some added context, UNM doesn't allow visiting teams to use its press room in the Pit, so that's why Leon is outside the locker room doing his post game interview.

I’ve never found baseball players intimidating.
