Difference between Brohm and Satterfield
If you read some of the comments from the high school coaches you get some idea why Louisville fans are so happy to see Satterfield head north.

The comments from Coach Stoner are especially troubling. His school is across the street from UofL

RE: Difference between Brohm and Satterfield
Satterfield thought that only one high school in Louisville produced good enough talent? Was he just a lazy recruiter?

I don’t know. He talked a good game and was about to get found out. All I know is there’s a lot more talent in Cincinnati than Louisville. If he does the same thing up there they’ll run him out of town.

There is so much money in the coaching profession today that it's hard for a coach to stay hungry and aggressive.
All a coach needs is one good P5 job. If he can get a second one he should be set for life as long as he doesn't adopt an extravagant life style.
AD's and schools are chasing names without qualifications or long track records in hopes of getting ahead, and it's obvious a lot of second and third tier coaches are taking advantage of the situation. As soon as a school gets a media increase they are more than happy to throw a great percentage of their newly gotten gain at "today's hot name" while the supporters have to pay off yesterday's failed coach.

This is one of the best explanations of the problems big money have caused college athletics. Thanks for explaining it better than I’ve see it done
