My first look at the stats
I have not followed the stats nearly as closely this season as I did in the past (old age and infirmity). But just looking at them objectively, it is not hard to tell where our problem lies. We don't defend. Not having seen us play, I wouldn't comment on whether it is can't do it or won't do it. Rebounding is not too bad, A/TO is positive as a team, which I will take any day, FT shooting is good. But opponents just light it up against us, inside and outside.

Preston Laird noted on the radio show, last week, that we have the 16th best free throw "defense" in the country. Yes, he was joking about the stat, but it is pretty crazy. Definitely kept us in some games, although we have failed to take advantage of it. Doubt there is a rational reason why teams shoot free throws poorly against us, but I hope it continues. If it does, we are bound to get a win or two out of it.

RE: My first look at the stats
We're not turning the ball over as much as past Walker teams but the Defense isn't consistent.

The zone 1-3-1 defense is prone to allowing a ton of corner 3's. Our Man to man is hit or miss depending on who's on the court. If we have slower personnel on the court, our rotation/help defense isn't good. Usually, in the games where we have won or been competitive in, our shooting is what ultimately keeps us in the game.

Foul trouble has also been an issue. Jefferson and Nigel John seem to always get 3-4 fouls a game.
