Completely agree. Only guys I really want to stay are Butta, Tony, Davis (idk if he has any eligibility left), and Jemison (if he does have another year left).

I don’t think I’ll ever be as ready for a season to end as this one. Truly frustrating watching this team play. The low basketball IQ as a whole is astonishing.

I agree with one exception. This is without a doubt THE most disappointing basketball season. Ever. Period. (To this date.)

What has happened to KJ? He's seemingly lost all of his ability to play basketball.

NT's strategy for the final five minutes should just be to get a shot clock violation and give it back to us.

Gaines out here shooting like he’s Jelly. Please tell me he’s transferring after this year.

Worst performance of the season by a mile. But, this game was lost during NT's run at the end of the first half. We have a decent shot of winning the second half. Just bad, bad, bad. But we should all be thankful we aren't AK right now. I don't know how he's not in the psych ward after these last six games.

Another great turnover by Gaines with a chance to cut it to 7.

I will be glad when Buffen is gone and if Gaines transfers I don't think I will be disappointed. Tired of the attitudes.

RE: Irvine on UAB - North Texas
I hope Gaines is gone.

He got ejected in our first real game after getting two techs. If that’s not a major red flag from the beginning, I don’t know what is.

He is a house with a bad foundation, shotty plumbing, and a bad roof. His issues as a player and mentally on the court run deep. Someone who is about to start their FOURTH season of college basketball should not be making the basic mistakes he makes so often. He also presents chemistry problems with the roster construction. He has bad body language and attitude on the court. He is a hot head. He is a frail, poor one on one defender, who turns the ball over at will, and does nothing on the court exceptionally well.

The team last year had issues, but they played hard, they played smart, and they had chemistry and cohesion. This team has NONE of that, and it is predominately due to Eric Gaines.

I hope when Jelly returns Gaines minutes get cut drastically. I want to see him with less minutes than Jelly, Toney, Lovan, and Butta in the future.

RE: Irvine on UAB - North Texas
What does Gaines do on the court that stands out, outside of turning the ball over and making really dumb decisions?

While I am salty, it’s an honest question.

He’s not a point guard. He’s way too frail and slim to be a good one on one defender or reliable driver to the basket or be able to finish through traffic/contact. He’s an average shooter. He doesn’t make good decisions. He chokes in close games. What does he do that stands out other than jumping really high?

He has good handles but also turns it over so much that it negates that positive.

I’m done with the Gaines experiment. Hopefully AK comes to his senses and quits playing favorites

I mean...maybe. He makes a decent amount of $ and we gave him a big contract extension.

And there's also the fact that this is his third year and he had more than enough time to build THIS team.

So this is on him...and I don't particularly feel bad for him.

100.

AK has done a bad job this year. A lot of the same Clark/Vincent fan boys also think he can do no wrong. This season has shown that to be completely false.

AKs coaching rep has definitely taken a hit this season. He seems to have no answers for this team.

On a side note, is this the first time UAB has ever worn green at home? I can't ever remember this being the case.

He’s a good coach, but all I’ve seen from him this season is a lot of talk and no substantive changes.

Does anyone really think this team would be substantially WORSE if he benched Gaines?

The collapse continues. Hard for this team to compete without Jelly.
