At Red Wing hockey games fans throw live octopus onto the rink. The Panthers used to (still may) throw rubber rats onto the rink.

Thoughts on throwing rubber black squirrels onto the court??

Could lead to increased Fan engagement

No thanks. As George Carlin once said squirrels are just rats with a good PR Department.

I’m late to this thread.

No one has ever decided they weren’t attending a Kent State game because of Superfan. No one. And suggesting otherwise is blatant stupidity.

I wish we had more like her. The crap football and basketball she’s sat through the years? And she’s the first one through the gates every game.

I'll be honest. Over the years I stopped noticing it entirely. Occasionally I'll have someone at a game with me that isn't s regular or someone comment they were watching on TV and wondered what the shrieking was. But at this point I don't even notice it. So in my perception it's calmed down significantly but it's possible I just tune it out.

One thing I'll add though, fans being loud and annoying is part of creating a home court advantage in college basketball. If we had bigger more engaged crowds no one would even notice. When was the last time she stood out during a packed game? Certainly not last night.

I thought it was amusing to hear Coach during the post game to say he really liked the DJ a lot.

From the GA, didn't notice Superfan and I think the DJ did the right amount. Not too much, not too little.

I agree at a men’s game sitting in the GA noise is not an issue at all. In the lower bowl at a women’s games it is a little different. Their hype video is a bit much.

Can we throw the rubber black squirrels on the court after the team makes 7 free throws?

Oh, and that's the other thing that pissed me off. Chick Fil'a, you cheap motherf****rs, when the team makes 7 free throws in a half, you better give something to the entire crowd, not just those in Section B.

In North Carolina Bojangles sells biscuits for $1 the day after UNC scores 100 at home.
Unrelated, there is a Bojangles going in at Belden Village area.

At James Madison a football win or 79 points in a basketball game (men’s or women’s) gets you a free 8 pack of their nuggets. They give out a ton and have no problem with it, they feel it’s well worth the exposure. I never capitalized on the many chances because their lines of customers are always seem a mile long, even their counter on campus (not part of promotion) has a seemingly permanent line dozens deep. Also, Bojangles gives out so many free coupons at the games for so much free stuff I have stacks I’ll never use.
