His best is just fine. He’s a good player. He’s a tough matchup.

He’s averaging 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds a night, he got 3 points and 1 board. Was expecting some extra incentive would have him having a night like he had against Toledo.

Hornbeak and Payton both outplayed Payton Sparks tonight. I never would've guessed that. I thought he was going to be a huge matchup problem for us.

Didn't see the pre-game dustup.

First game I've seen at the MACC in a really, really long time tonight. The defense was awesome. I was impressed with the perimeter defense intensity Santiago in particular as well as the energy Payton and Sullinger brought when they got in the game. Payton gave me a little Mike Scott flashbacks with his leaping.

Honestly, Kent blew Ball State out of the water. At one point fairly early in the 2nd half, Kent was up by 25 despite Ball State hitting 3 foul shots off of technical fouls AND 2 miracle threes with time running out on the shot clock. I was wondering if my memory was faulty and Ball State wasn't that good.

Attendance was 5660. Good student turnout, too.

I'm kind of disappointed the behind-the-back allyup pass to dunk wasn't on Sportscenter this morning.
Hornbeak reminds me a lot of John Edwards. Just with the size and wingspan. Hopefully he stays for his senior year.

Technically it's 8 points, not votes. Receiving 8 points could mean that 8 of the voters each placed KSU 25th on their ballot. Or 1 voter placed KSU 18th. Or anything in between. In this case, 4 individuals ranked KSU in the top 25.

I’m thinking CP has realized that he’s quicker and more athletic than most MAC bigs and is now taking advantage of this. He looked like a really good Big Ten post player last night. Simply too athletic for Ball State on both ends of the court. Keep it up CP!

I love Jacobs all around game but I’m always on edge watching him fearing that he’s going to lose his head, maybe get into a brawl and get ejected. Maybe his “chippyness” is what fuels his game. He is fearless and a fine all-around player.

True! Lenny Kravitz!

In the last 12 months we are 30-5. For perspective the elite 8 team was 30-6. Truly a special time to be a fan of this program.
