I think this is the first time JMU hasn’t been favored in a game since playing at Marshall. Perhaps that will get the Dukes focused so they can go on a run and firm up a spot in the top 4.

I can’t recall seeing Troy play before, but their arena looks really nice and is the right size for mid-major basketball. It reminds me of Charleston’s arena being very cozy and seating 6,000.

For the year, the Trojans have been strong on defense and weak on offense. Most of their wins have been racked up against teams in the bottom half of the NCAA, but they did beat Florida State. A lot of luster has dropped from that win though with Florida State struggling to a 6-13 record so far.

After tonight JMU will either have a winning conference record or a losing conference record. We need uncle Mo going in the right direction.

And there is a schedule that probably most on that participate on this board are aware of that is readily available if they are not already aware regarding the matchup and also probably have a clue of which team is at home and which one is one the road if they are paying attention to the sport.

Do we even attempt to run sets of any kind? Its undisciplined, ugly basketball. The lack of a set starting lineup might be causing some of it... either way, its difficult to watch.

once again the starters looked fine. Byington brings in subs and they get blitzed.

So how is there a foul, points count and they get the ball out of bounds after the points? That seems like just free points awarded by the refs.

Not a good first half but still within reach to get a road win. The Dukes are getting punked on the boards by a bad rebounding team.

The only thing JMU is consistent at this year is being inconsistent.

Was it only 2 weeks ago that people cared? Seems like 2 months ago.

Same issues on O. D getting picked apart by 2 man dribble and roll.

WTF was that? And why does coach By allow guys to jaw at the refs and get TD up and tossed?

Through the delay they had the camera on our bench and I saw the ref pointing at Freidel sitting on the bench chirping, then T’d him up and eject him.

Also, saw some utterly garbage calls. Their guy posts up, stumbles on his own, falls and they call a foul on us.

Correct. They checked for a flagrant as with Freidel of the screener elbowed the defender in the face. They determined it was not flagrant, but Freidel was talking/chirping for the entire review. By was right there, allowing it.

We cut it down to a 1 point game but are sliding away again.

Got the deficit to one and Morse jacks threes, Molson missing layups, and not hitting free throws. So predictable. It’s all so predictable
