If anyone is at the game give us a crowd report. I just caught the end of the girls game but didn't see a lot of crowd shots other than the one directly across from the main camera angle.

Is Phillip Russell out? I just pulled up the stats site and it shows the SEMO starting lineup without Phillip Russell in it. It has Smart, Barnes and Harris listed as the three starting guards.

So sore ankle for Russell and we are shooting very poorly to start this game.

This team just can't stay healthy

Smart definitely is not feeling good. Had to run out to the locker room.

OK, I've cooled off a little by this morning. What a pathetic excuse of a game. You talk about the gang that couldn't shoot straight. 31.7% from the floor and 13.6% from the arc. In conference games that dropped us from first to third in offensive efficiency. This year we have talked about our improved defense. That's not what the stats say. We're BAD on defense. In conference games we rank eighth out of ten teams in defensive efficiency. We're 9th in fg% defense, 10th in 3fg% defense, and 10th in offensive rebounding.

But, this game shouldn't really surprised anyone. The same thing has happened year after year. We start playing pretty good and get a small winning streak going. We come back to the Show Me Center for a home game and hope the fans will start coming out. THEN WE PLAY LIKE CRAP AND LAY A BIG EGG. Then we're right back to square one.

I guess I haven't cooled off as much as I thought. Sorry for the rant, I'm just fed up with this same ole crap year after year.

I really want to look to Harris to be the guy to pick up and carry the team, but...yeesh. Someone has to be there along with Russell to manage the floor.

Harris can't carry a team, and should never be asked to. He's best when he's the 3rd option offensively and not the focal point.
