I don’t know…72-38 final; 14 of GB’s points were from free throws. Their last nine points all came from the line. Compared to Houston Christian’s performance of 31 against Texas at the start of the season, the low-bar of D1 this season so far, HCU was just a hint better at hitting shots. GB’s shooting was worse than HCU’s Texas effort. I think GB is more embarrasing because it’s not against a good team…it’s Robert friggin Morris. RMU not giving up fouls, and this GB game is probably about the worst D1 effort by a team this season.

Whereas Minnesota only had 12 at the half in Thursday’s game, and ended with 39. That they got to that number was more garbage-time than Minnesota finally finding its spark. They didn’t cross the 30-mark until a little over 4 minutes left in the game. Difference between this game and the RMU-UWGB one is that Purdue-Minny wasn’t propped up with foul shots.

Green Bay scoring only 38 points ... not good.

What about Gonzaga yielding 90 points to Pacific (10-12)? GU won 99-90

Score that caught my attention: Long Beach beats Cal-San Diego 112-110 in OT. LB is 10-10, while UCSD is 7-13. You don't see two mediocre (if that) teams scoring that many points (even in OT) very often.

Marquette beating a solid Seton Hall team by 21 (at SHU, no less) ... impressive.

I'm think North Texas might have a better team than folks (myself include) realize.

Does TCU 83 Kansas 60 in Lawrence count as laughable?

Can the performance against Saint Mary’s be forgiven? 2020-21 Colorado State got shamed just as bad against the Gaels. Might have been one of the losses that kept them from the tournament that year. Same amount of points scored against SMC: 33. To UNT’s credit, this Saint Mary’s is better than the one that thumped Colorado State two years ago.

Probably not but it should. Kansas just got beat by 23 at home in a week where they lost two games and hasn't even been bumped off the one line. Don't see why a bubble team should be held to a stricter standard when their blowout loss came on the road to a better team (KP #7 vs #18, NET #6 vs #17).

FWIW, we're tied with Temple 30-30 at half.

It's hard to win every game. Houston is still putting together a very solid season and look to contend.

Afraid not. We’ve been overhyped all year. Finally caught up to us. Hoping we stop reading our press clippings and get back to playing with an edge. Not holding my breathe on that though.

I had forgotten about that debacle for UNT.

Don't panic. UH can bounce back. This loss might get the team focused.

I think what would hurt UNT more is going 0-2 versus FAU. 0-3 in Q1; that's the FAU games and the drumming from SMC. The Q2 wins aren't against other likely tournament teams. If they keep up the winning, they could bust the top 50 NET (might be too much to pull off in KP). I doubt they're getting an at-large consideration, though. What will also hurt is if things remain as is, FAU and UNT will be 1/2 respectively, and they won't see each other until the conference championship. There's no slack for UNT to get another shot at a "good win."

Saw that the AP top 25 womens poll has no teams from Texas today. That's the first time EVER that's happened!
