RE: Laughable week 11 college basketball
You guys are missing a great game in Spokane. It's on Comcast on the west coast.

66-61 LMU with 2:24 to go

Nolan Hickman a 3. Now 66-64 with 1:51 to go, Time out Lions.

BTW, WCC games are like large Catholic HS games. Half the stands are students

Anton Watson a steal and layup. Tied at 66 with 1:21.

Cam Shelton makes a floater. LMU 68-67 with 11.1 seconds left. Zags TO.

I predict Gonzaga wins they're just toying with LMU, just like almost all of their WCC opponents.

I seemingly can't get the Gonzaga game on Hulu.

FINAL

LMU 68
6 Gonzaga 67

If Gonzaga was in a real conference, they'd be a bubble team.

First win for Loyola Marymount at Gonzaga since 1991. First one overall since 2010.

Not just that. Until this loss, the Zags had won 93 straight against unranked teams and 36 straight in January.

Same happened to me. Saw C2’s updates in here, but couldn’t find the game anywhere on Comcast. Saint Mary’s/Pepperdine was on though.

The one night ESPN selects a non-Gonzaga WCC game and this happens. 03-lmfao

Almost forgot...

23 Rutgers 57
Michigan State 70

Also, Charleston struggled to put away 1-win Monmouth.

Meanwhile USF is crushing UOP (41-22 at half) before a crowd I'd call friends and family invites only. BYU is struggling at SCU, but it's only 5 when I left it.

Checked back in. BYU up 40-39 with 15:30 to go. Biggest negative, the token plus size cheerleader for Santa Clara (in jump suits) is the one in front of the camera.

update SCU (Stewart) up 43-39 with back to back steals, with 14:44 to go. (on CBSSN).

USF update. Dons up 70-40 with 9:31 left in the 2nd (on NBC/Comcast Bay Area).

Lots of late night WCC action.

Man you can't even trust Gonzaga to beat WCC teams at home this year?

And you know college basketball is messed up when a Tom Izzo Michigan State team beating Rutgers at home is considered laughable.

I guess in a way it was OK as I probably need to watch a little less college hoops.

Concerning DePaul and Loyola, I will say it is strange you have these two Chicago schools playing in conferences with their tournament homes in NYC.

A Midwestern private school conference was tossed around for years, but it was never going to be “major” without Notre Dame and DePaul and a tourney in Chicago.

A conference made up of Notre Dame (besides football obviously), DePaul, Loyola, Marquette, Creighton, SLU, Butler, Dayton, and Xavier would be very interesting. Would probably force the remaining Big East schools on the east coast to bring in A10 schools like Fordham or Duquesne to fill out the ranks out of necessity.

Notre Dame had everything in the MCC back in the day except...the only 2 sports that mattered.

I had forgotten about the Midwestern Collegiate Conference until you jogged my memory.

And when you think the A10 has a puncher's chance of having someone break into the top 50-60 for the potential conversation of having a multi-bid year, you get:

Dayton 69
G-Dubs 76

Dayton was 64th in NET. George Washington was 191st. You have VCU and SLU still within the top 90...but it's not like the good games are plentiful in the conference schedule.
