2023 Football Schedule (FINAL)
Way too early prediction that’s sure to be wrong:

4-8.

I hope you are wrong too. I'm not that much more optimistic - I am thinking that getting to 6-7 wins with a largely new team, brand new, inexperienced coaching staff, and a very hard schedule would be a great job in year one. Anything above that would be huge.

BlazerTalk tailgate in the parking lot of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium! Only season ticket holders actually get to park at the stadium and all those parking spots have room for tailgating. After I get my parking lot assignment, I'll post recommendations on where to park. There are several large privately run parking areas around the perimeter of the stadium grounds.

I’ve been making 3 road games/year. Navy for sure. I’ve already been to UTSA and Tulane, so probably Georgia Southern and North Texas. I’d rather see us play Georgia when they’re not the #1 team in the country & we know we’ll be competitive in the AAC, so maybe the next go around.

Yeah I am iffy on GA. I am so torn on whether we should be playing those elite teams. On the other hand, we recruit Georgia HARD for all sports and also for just regular students and that exposure of playing the Bulldogs is invaluable, even if we lose. No real shame in getting smoked when they are smoking SEC teams and playoff teams. But going over there and being competitive would be HUGE.

I always believed we should have Georgia Tech or Georgia State on the schedule every year in basketball and football. Recruit that Atlanta/NW Georgia area.

With a focus to schedule more P5 games in the future and getting some of them HH I kind of doubt it.

RE: 2023 Football Schedule (FINAL)
I expect us to start trying to get some H&H with p5s for sure, at least one per year,
. I think we will keep the FCS, keep Troy/USA on rotation and another game against a regional team like Ga State/WKU/Southern Miss and then start trading some money games for H/H with a p5. Although sometimes we will still keep a money game in lieu of a H/H

I really like UNT’s football stadium. I will most likely go to this game also. Dallas is easy to get to.

RE: 2023 Football Schedule
For those interested in making the trip, Navy single game tickets go on sale tomorrow (05/12). With the exception of the Corps of Midshipmen and the north end zone G.A. hill, all seating in the lower bowl is individual plastic seats with seatbacks. The rows in the upper decks are seat-backed aluminum benches and are a bit tighter together than those in the lower bowl. I believe visitor seating is section 132.

FYI, there's lots of kids running around on the G.A. hill (below sections A-D). Also, it's grass, so bring a towel or blanket to sit on.

This year will be my first trip to UNT for football (only time in Denton was when I went to the 2022 basketball game there).
