Yep, I'll watch but I bet I won't be happy with the outcome. Prove me wrong Tigers.

It's puzzling how we can start so strong against OOC teams who were so good and then drop off so rapidly and drastically against what are supposed to be inferior conference mates. Whatever chemistry this team had going on early seems to have evaporated.

For one thing, we lost Dandridge and that hurts us significantly in the paint if you haven't noticed. It's not like our losses have been embarrassing blowouts, and a good percentage of them have been very close. Teams drop games against lesser opponents all the time, especially on the road. Regarding UCF specifically, they almost beat Houston at home, something to consider; and if you're concerned about our loss to Tulane, they just beat UCF.

If the variability of college basketball is tough to stomach, there is always the NBA.

I think we may find out today that ALo brings more than some have given him credit for.
KD and who else at the guards to start the game? Elijah?

Do you know the status of Lomax? I'm hoping it was a minor injury. If he is indeed out, my gut says that McCadden starts in his place, but it's tough to say.

Sorry, I have no info. But When I pulled up that lame, like that, at his age, it was a long-lasting, debilitating groin injury. I hope it's not in this case, but he looked HURT to me.

Yeah, I was surprised by how badly we miss Malco. As for the NBA, you watch it and report back to me. Look, unless I miss my guess, neither of us is happy with the way this season has played out so far. However, one of us doesn't have a problem calling a spade a spade. That doesn't make that person a bad fan nor does it mean that fan will stop supporting his team.

Groin injuries can be tough to recover from. I pulled my right side once in a martial arts tournament and I can still feel it to this day if I stretch wrong. I hope that isn't the case with ALo. That crap was painful.

It definitely appeared to be painful. Let's hope it was minor.

I don't think you're a bad fan at all, and I agree about the NBA. It's a polished product, but not really my cup of tea either. As far as calling a spade a spade, I see the same team that you do. I don't disagree that the team doesn't seem to be playing as well right now as they did earlier, but if we're being honest, it's not exactly the same team. Losing Dandridge was huge, and Davis seemed to injure himself time and again in those early games. It's not unreasonable to think he's still playing at less than full capacity, hurting his shooting. Penny is also trying to get Franklin productive and that has been an ongoing work in progress, but I (and apparently he) feel that it will ultimately pay dividends in the long run.

I'm hoping that Kao will continue to develop. If he can shore up his shooting at the line, work on his awareness, and start grabbing some rebounds; he will help to eliminate one of the primary pain points that is plaguing us right now. If we can eliminate that challenge, it will go a long way in strengthening our defensive efforts, which has really been our bread and butter with our lack of consistent perimeter shooting.

One thing is certain, yesterday is gone and nothing is going to change it so may as well just stay focused on the here and now and hope for the best.
