Add Seton Hall to your "decent" list, and Tulane is moving up at 4-1 in the conference and 11-5 overall. The UGA loss last year wasn't great, but the team shifted gears and finished out the season strong. I suspect we'll beat ECU on the road this year.

To reiterate, you want to know a trend? It's tougher for all teams to win on the road, that's why road losses don't hurt a team in analytics like a home loss. Something to consider.

All I’m saying is, I get where the other poster is coming from. We really have no clue who we might lose to on the road. Regardless of how hard it is to play on the road, if you lose to enough bad teams, you’re gonna find yourself on the outside looking in. Anyways, I hope we can flip a switch and go on a run.

FWIW I doubt the committee looks at our conference and thinks anyone is really that great outside of Houston. We would be next on the list, but the 2nd best team has to prove it.

Based on what? What is the criteria?

Expectations? Program prestige? Wanting the 2nd team to be someone other than a team like UCF that no one cares about?

Some people say he's just dumb.
I think he continues to prove he's simply a troll - and not a very good one.
But life is like a box of chocolates.

Lunardi has dropped UCF off the bubble after their loss at Tulane. And he's dropped us to a 11-seed. These guys are so tough on the AAC, it's ridiculous. So he's got us back at 2-bids this year.

Interesting that upcoming member FAU is putting together a nice season at 17-1. #24 in the polls and #12 in the NET - but Lunardi has them as a #10 seed.

Lunardi is an idiot, and always wrong, especially about non P5, up to the last minute, when everyone is right.

Yeah, I have never put any credence in what Lunardi says. He is the equivalent of a fat kid trolling the internet from his parents' basement.

Our biggest problem is getting healthy. If we don't get our players back on the court, we aren't going anywhere postseason.

That is the truth. At a minimum we need Lomax back as soon as possible, while getting Dandridge will go a long way in helping us in the paint.

He may not always be wrong, but his accuracy is very poor at best. He's 88 in a list of 148 bracket analysts. They evaluate the accuracy over a span of the last five years. Pretty poor performance and why anyone looks to him for anything is beyond my understanding.

5-YEAR BRACKET MATRIX RANKINGS

Per the data, Crazy Sports Dude has the best record for accuracy. This is his most recent bracket if anyone finds value so early in the season.

I would welcome this. Get past 1st round and you got former AAC member UCONN waiting? Yes.

No way UCONN remains on the 1 line though ... can they?

RE: Bracketology 1/13
Just posting this for fun as it's all meaningless at this stage, but there are some folks who use analytics to try to predict the NIT bracket. Thankfully, we're nowhere on the list, but apparently they believe UCF won't make the dance.

Exactly. It's not as bad as the other poster is trying to make it out to be. Tulane is better than people are giving them credit for, and so is UCF. I don't understand the constant need to talk down on the team, both directly and indirectly.

Go Tigers!

With all the cuts ESPN has made over the last few years, how is that clown still employed? You could get an stats intern to do a better job. Maybe he does it for free?

All in our shot selection.
We are top 10 in the country in dunks attempted.
And bottom 10 in 3-point shots attempted.
We are pretty effective at making 2-pt shots.

Yep. We are #340 in the country out of 363 teams.

KD is #4 in the country FTA. Our next highest is DW at #294. As a team we are #66 in FG%.
