Last game: Marshall took an early 10-9 lead and never looked back, steadily opening a lead to a 38-31 lead @HT. CC kept their deficit to 6-11 pts early in the second half, but Marshall never faltered and built the lead throughout the game to win 81-66. Marshall outrebounded CC 53-38 and shot 26 FTs vs 7 for CC. Antonio Daye led the Chanticleers with 15 pts (7-14 FG, 1-3 3s, 0-1 FT), Linton Brown had 11 (4-10 FG, 3-9 3s), Essam Mostafo (4-9 FG, 2-2 FT) and Jomaru Brown (4-9 FG, 1-3 3s, 1-2 FT) added 10 pts each.

Picked 8th pre-season Sun Belt, led by 2nd team Essam Mostafa.
Balanced offense…take 21.2 3s/g yet also avg 16.9 FT attempts/g. Great bench production.

I feel like they have a group of good players but haven't played well together. Haven't watched to see whats up.

If you’re going to the game, wear white. ODU has deemed this a white out game.

This team is starting to gel. Will be interesting to see how things come together over the next 2+ weeks with IMO out. Chaunce and TSG at point with PJ potentially the next man up. Ben Stanley getting some traction and Faizon starting to emerge.

I still expect to win this one, but with Imo out, it just got a lot harder. And with him out, I don't hold out much hope against Marshall. But we'll see. At least he should be back before that tough February stretch. JJ made it sound like CCU has a ton of talent, but hasn't put it together good yet.

You are what your record says you are. If the Monarchs had put it all together maybe they would have a record like Florida Atlantic too. That's a major part of the deal my good friend, putting it all together!

Maybe this situation would get Charles Smith and our freshman a few more minutes playing time each game and "might" help the team in the long run. But, that's part of putting it all together and maybe it wouldn't. The coach makes a few hundred thousand $$$ or whatever, it's job to figure this stuff out.

Excited to see Chaunce start at PG, despite the bummer circumstances of why. Hope he can get this offense started faster and give them the boost we need to put away Coastal early. But with how the season has gone, a close game is much more likely..

FAU is a solid team, but our record might be alot better if we had their schedule.
