Heard rumors of at least one from Wells Fargo and possibly one from Overland mail company.

Seems to disprove the notion that we're no better off than a junior college.

Only if over 1/2 these guys pan out. There is a reason they are leaving their current schools. Only 3 - ETSU, FAU, Old Dominion are moving 'up' the food chain.

So you're saying it's typical for players from P5 schools to transfer to JUCOS? Doubtful.

RE: Transfers incoming
Mentioned this in another transfer portal thread but there was a multi-hour discussion on ESPN/SIRIUS 84 a couple of weeks ago about the transfer portal. There was one statement mentioned several times, it was a generalized statement but statistically proven - 'if a player couldn't get on the field at his previous school he likely won't get much PT at his new school'. There are certainly exceptions, especially for QBs & injuries. The one group that seemed statistically to be the most successful after transfer were the grad transfers. Hope all of our incoming players are successful & help our program.

RE: Transfers incoming
Simeon Blair and Jaylen Johnson both had significant playing time. Don't see why they wouldn't contribute here. We'll see how the offensive lineman play. The guys that transferred from the smaller schools have decent stats. Sometimes a fresh start is all you need.

Eddie Lewis is transferring.

Maybe Jack can bring WR Braylon Brown with him, since we are getting a little light there.

All you can eat targets and yards from Seth Henigen ought to be attractive to some great WR in the portal.

So now it's bad to get P5 transfers but good to get G5 transfers? For serious?

That's a rather large assumption. It seems you think none were playing at former schools.

None of us were happy with the WR corp last year. I don't mind turnover, but we gotta have some players to take their place. I'm hoping WR Coach Smith and his QC assistant Justin Hunter bring in some talent. Would not surprise me if Hunter has some lined up - although he's not technically a recruiter.
