Hopefully another plus for DeKalb
Fingers crossed that this announcement is another plus for DeKalb and a help to bring more dollars to town.

There was coverage of this on ABC7 Chicago news last night. This is big.

Truck traffic in that area will be quite heavy. The infrastructure will need to be expanded and the roads paved and able to support all the truck traffic.

Some college towns like South Bend are hurting as they have lost much of their industry, at least DeKalb has numerous large co's settling in, and a great tax base for decades to come.

They say data centers usually group together once the utilities have all been organized. Hoping Dekalb gets a second data center in the near future.

That "great tax base" depends on whether they were all enticed with TIF deals.

I do like the name Heinz or even Heinz Pickles Field.......just as long as they replace the PigDog with a giant pickle statue!

Never understood why Bayer/Monsanto would just throw some money to call it DEKALB Stadium or DEKALB Arena. It would fit perfectly.

Most likely, they be hard pressed to find DeKalb on a map and can't see how it would make them money.
