The only way FSU signs a deal like this is if it speeds up the process of getting into the P2 or puts a lot more interim $ in their pockets.

Circumstances seem to be bearing you out.

Florida State may now be supporting ACC expansion on the Pacific coast in return for an easier exit.

Things can always be negotiated.

We saw that back during their exclusive window Jason Scheer said ESPN's offer worked out to $24.5M per team.

And then recently The Money Show said ESPN is offering $250M (not sure if that's Tier 1/2 or all three tiers). So that's $25M/tm.

According to Dodd we learned that it might only take less than $100M/yr for B1G presidents to be open to adding four more teams.

With the Big 12 based on the pro rata information we know that ESPN has 63% of that deal. This works out to around $240M/yr or $20M/tm.

If four teams went to the B1G and four to the Big 12, ESPN could spend around $180M/yr as opposed to maybe $250M. They could have access to eight of the ten current PAC teams while getting back in with the B1G for less than a deal directly with the PAC. Amazon's involvement throws a wrench in this plan, but it still has a shot of happening depending how on how serious Amazon is. I'm also not ruling out Fox playing along to help get thing to that point. So what do you think of my conspiracy theory?

Goodness. Pretty close to how it is actually playing out. While you're at it can you offer up tonight's Powerball numbers? DM me.
